About

Albright Advisory Group was founded by Chris Hannon and provides outsourced marketing and and consulting services to select investment managers seeking institutional capital. We focus on newly established and niche investment funds, as well as non-US managers seeking US assistance.

Albright's services focus on developing and executing targeted sales and marketing programs that present our managers in a differentiated and compelling manner. We work in conjunction with, or in place of, a manager's in-house marketing and business development teams providing our clients with a high degree of flexibility as they seek to grow their businesses.

The firm takes its name from the Albright Knot, a versatile fishing knot uniquely effective at connecting lines of different diameters or materials. It is commonly used to join various diameter lines and leaders used in fly fishing. This knot is a metaphor for our goal of connecting smaller or lesser-known managers with institutional investors; Albright Advisory Group seeks to be that connection.

We employ a holistic approach to the capital raising process—
it’s more than a Rolodex.

Adding Value

Raising institutional capital continues to be a demanding exercise for many fund managers. The combination of numerous competitors, continued consolidation in the consulting industry, and a world where social distancing has altered how we work has made for a challenging set-up. While larger funds can counter this with well-established brands and large client development teams, smaller managers lack such assets. Our mission at Albright Advisory Group is to level the playing field by providing specialty and newly established funds with the vision, insight, and access to allocators that only experienced senior-level leadership can provide.

Strong performance alone is not enough for a manager to successfully grow their franchise. Marketing and sales campaigns that effectively differentiate firms, communicate the process, and explain the drivers of investment performance are essential to this effort. Further, these campaigns must be led by experienced professionals who can break through the noise and clutter that regularly confronts allocators. Albright's approach incorporates all these elements to effectively engage institutional investors on our clients' behalf.
